Get Up Close and Personal with Matsuriza at JapanFest 2017

Matsuriza, the ever-popular Taiko group from Japan via Disney World, is back to play at JapanFest this year. In addition to their daily performances, they will also be offering workshops after their performances where visitors can come up on stage and learn how to hit a Taiko drum with Taiko masters. Adults and children alike will not want to miss this unique experience.
Matsuriza will perform in the Infinite Energy Center Theater at
11:45am on Saturday, with a workshop immediately following at 12:15pm
12:30pm on Sunday, with a workshop immediately following at 1:00pm
Matsuriza means “Festival of Drumming.” The group was established in 1983. Matsuriza demonstrates the traditional art of Japanese drumming known as “Taiko” and plays both traditional music as well as self-composed arrangements. The group’s dynamic style emphasizes speed, fluidity and power which combined with their choreographed movements creates a performance rich in sight and sound.
Matsuriza performs regularly in Walt Disney World and have decided to stay in Orlando FL to continue sharing Taiko music with audiences around the country.
